Oil

There is a debate from few years about oil deposits in Sri Lanka.
But there may be a problem weather is it true?

Actually Sri Lankan EEZ is included oil deposits.
Geological conditions also fulfilled in the area of Mannar bay.
Some GPS are performed oil deposits arround Kirinda. But it is due to oil spills in Shipping way.

Threats for Endamic fish

  1. Exotic fish species like Tilapia, Carp etc...
  2. Aquatic pollution
  3. Destruction of habitats
